Gallery@TheFalcon Reception: “Muses of the Masters” The Painting of Jeffries Moore – Join us in celebrating the work of artist, Jeffries Moore. Share a glass of wine, some nibbles and bites, and of course, a chat with Mr. Moore.

“To me, jazz is music in its purest, most raw form. A powerful means of self-expression that conveys feeling and emotion. It is conceptually pre-meditated, but executed as if in the moment. Modern Art mirrors those very qualities.

This collection is my expression of synesthesia – a sensation produced in one modality when a stimulus is applied to another modality, as when a certain sound induces the visualization of a certain color.

Music and Art are my two favorite indulgences. When I hear music, I visualize art. When I see a work of art, I hear music.

This collection is a fusion that is a result of that reaction. In each piece iconic jazz musicians become the muses for some of Modern Art’s greatest masterpieces.” – Jeffries Moore / Artist

Born in Los Angeles, California, Moore’s passion for design and art, inhereted from his Father, progressed from natural ability to academic pursuit. Majoring in Architecture, while learning the concepts of design, he noticed the pattern of structure and composition shared by all the Arts- Fine Art, Music, and Architecture. After graduation, Moore worked for the city of Los Angeles Educational District in Architecture & Engineering.
Moving to New York in 2004, after the the death of his Father, Jeffries served as a volunteer in production design and art direction for a religious order. New York opened up new opportunities to experience the museums, art, and architecture of the world, he had only seen in books. It was in NYC his love of music grew in great proportion.
