The name Cuboricua was inspired by the music of Cuba and Puerto Rico. Cuboricua identifies with the rhythms and melodies of the Caribbean; Salsa, Son, Rumba, Bomba, Plena, as well as Merengue.

No reservations, music outside on the decks (weather permitting). The Falcon Underground will be open for dining. Due to overwhelming attendance and lack of donations on Salsa Nights past, there will be a $15 cover (minimum donation) to enter Salsa Night.

Guy Davis | Benefit for Clearwater

Guy is a long-time friend and supporter of Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, and his friendship with Clearwater founder Pete Seeger dated from Guy’s childhood to Pete’s passing in 2014. He is doing this show to honor Clearwater Environmental Action Director Manna Jo Greene, who recently retired after 23 years of tireless advocacy for the Hudson River and the communities in its watershed. All proceeds will go towards continuing this work, underwriting the iconic sloop Clearwater and the organization’s role as a grassroots model for producing positive change to protect the waters of our planet.

Brad Mehldau

World-renowned jazz pianist and composer Brad Mehldau performs an intimate solo concert. An improviser first and foremost, he greatly cherishes the surprise and wonder that can occur from a spontaneous musical idea, but he also has a deep fascination for the formal architecture of music, and it informs everything he plays. The two sides of Mehldau’s personality — the improviser and the formalist — play off each other, and the effect is often something like controlled chaos.
