The Marlborough Historical Society will welcome Gomez Mill House Director Carroll F. Cook and Site Manager Richie Rosencrans to the Milton Train Station, where they will present the short film: “Luis Moses Gomez and His Mill House”,

followed by a talk by Richie Rosencrans on the history of the subsequent owners of the house.  Both Carroll and Richie will be available to answer questions afterward.

The Gomez Mill House Historic Site, located five miles north of Newburgh in the central Hudson Valley, is the oldest standing Jewish dwelling in North America.  Built ca. 1716 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973, the Gomez Mill House has the distinction of being the oldest house in Orange County listed on the NRHP.
The historic Milton Train Station was built in 1883 and is located at 41 Dock Road, Milton, NY, next to the Milton Landing Park on the Hudson River.  The train station was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.
