Sadly last night , Tuesday March 31st , we had two additional deaths confirmed in Ulster County. A 49 year old New Paltz man and a 55 year old Ptattekill man.
This brings Ulster Counties fatality total to 3 including the 76 year old Plattekill man who passes on Sunday.
Our thoughts and prayers are will those families and all families who have lost loved ones during these tough time. ( virus related or not )
Unfortunately Plattekill continues to top Ulster County with 36 confirmed positive cases.
As of today we have tested a total of 1364 people in Ulster County ( up 33 people tested ) with 1142 negative cases.
Some NY State election news :
The presidential primary election will move from April 28th to June 23rd aligning it with the congressional and legislative primaries in New York.
Also: SUNY New Paltz has partnered with Ulster County to produce 3D printed face shields for regional health care workers. Over 1000 face shields have been donated already to health care facilities and medical personnel at Ulster County drive through mobile testing sites and once at full force the college will have the ability to produce 500 face shields per day.
Community working together . Thank you SUNY New Paltz.
Please continue to practice safe protocols to keep yourself, your family and others healthy and safe. Continue to reach out to your neighbors who might be in need and if you have the means to help please do. If not and you know someone in need please contact me.

I know Sue and I know she has connections ( family members ) in Marlborough. Thoughts and prayers are with the Prokosch family and all the families who have lost love ones during these tough times ( virus related and unrelated )
Ulster County’s opens its second mobile testing site at Ellenville Regional Hospital.
Also : Where do I get my information ?
I get my information from a daily conference call that has been organized by the Ulster County Executive office.
They work closely with New York State, the governor’s office and the health department.
Ulster County Executive Patrick Ryan & Deputy County Executive Marc Rider have been leaders through these tough times and have been working very hard to give me confirmed information to pass on to all of you.
Please stay safe , keep you family safe and continue to keep social distancing.
Support local businesses and contact me if I can help.

Sunday March 29th Update
Hello everyone. Hope this post finds everyone in good health and good spirits.
As of today :
Ulster County has 179 positive cases
Orange County has 1142 positive cases
Dutchess County has 262 positive cases
Marlboro / Milton now has 11 positive cases
Ulster County has tested 1155 people so with 179 positive that says 976 are negative ( let’s look at the positive side of testing )
Ulster County continues to act to stay ahead of the virus. The County is adding beds and respirators to Ulster County Hospital’s. With State and a Federal funding we have gone from 100 beds to 335 beds at Benedictine hospital and continue to work on additional beds. We are hoping not to need these beds but we are getting ready if we do.
Out of the 179 positive cases only 7 individuals, as of today , are admitted to Ulster County hospital’s. The rest remain quarantined in their homes. Add to that ZERO deaths reported in Ulster County.
Starting tomorrow the second Ulster County Mobile testing site will open in Ellenville.
More testing / more positive cases. Please don’t panic.
Continue to stay safe and keep social distancing for your safety, the safety of your family and the safety of others in our community and beyond.
Please contact me if you need me and again the Ulster County web site is
