Marlboro Youth Baseball and Softball will be hosting a community event Tomorrow, August 5th (rain date August 6th). The highlights will be 2 sandlot games, a skills challenge, and an outdoor movie! There will be other entertainment as well! For participating in Spring baseball minors and majors and softball 10u and 12u you are invited to take place in the sandlot games and skills challenge. Everyone else is encouraged to come out and watch and then stay for the movie! On field 1 will be a majors game, 12u Softball players would be included of course and field 2 would be a minors game 10u SB players are included. Both games will start at 6:30. But we are asking players to get there at 6:15 to warm up a bit and get organized. At the conclusion of the sandlot games, there will be 3 skills competitions for both age groups. They will include the road runner challenge- the players will be timed to see how fast they can run the bases, a golden arm challenge- the players will get to throw the ball from center field to home and get points on how accurate they are, and finally there will be a champion of swat challenge- which is a power hitting challenge. There will be a trophy for each of the winners!
