will be offering Happy Birthday patrol car celebrations during the pandemic. We would like to offer some joy during this time and are acting on your requests.
If you have a Birthday that you would like us to pass by your house for please schedule with us at least 48 hrs. in advance.
You will schedule by calling the police department from 8am-4pm Mon -Fri. and ask to speak with Disp. VanAmburgh.
On the day of the celebration, a patrol car or cars will pass by your house with lights, sirens, and possibly a Happy Birthday song.There will be NO special handouts, such as candy, stickers, pencils,etc. You must NOT APPROACH THE PATROL VEHICLES, there will be No PERSON TO PERSON CONTACT. Please stay in doors and watch from the windows or outside your home away from the street. Please do not have a large group of people waiting in your yard or street in front of your home as this would not be social distancing. WE CAN NOT have children or adults approaching the patrol cars or officers for everyone’s health and safety during this pandemic. Also in the event of an emergency requiring response the patrol cars may have to exit abruptly.
